Urban Health & Fitness in Christchurch recently celebrated its tenth anniversary, marking a decade of service to the community.

Since opening in 2014, the fitness club has built a reputation for its holistic approach to health and wellness. It offers a range of services, including personal training, group classes, physiotherapy, nutrition counseling, and wellness workshops. The club is also part of the national Exercise Referral Programme, allowing patients to be referred by their GP or clinic.

Founder and director Manoj Patel expressed gratitude for the club’s growth over the years, saying, “We are beyond grateful for the incredible journey we’ve had over the past ten years. What started as a small dream has evolved into a community of passionate individuals who prioritise their health and wellbeing.”

Urban Health & Fitness has developed its own fitness classes, featuring options like strength training, cardio, gentle fit, circuits, yoga, pilates, tai chi, and dance. In addition, the club operates a physiotherapy clinic that provides musculoskeletal treatment, women’s health services, children’s physiotherapy, cerebral palsy physio, acupuncture, and deep tissue massage.

To commemorate the milestone, Urban Health & Fitness hosted a party at Dirty Gerties and has plans for more events throughout the year.
