Preslie Ginoski, a 23-year-old fitness influencer and bodybuilder, has stirred significant online backlash after posting a video of himself performing push-ups and striking a flexing pose on a plane engine at Sydney Airport. The video, filmed last year and recently shared on TikTok and Instagram, quickly went viral, drawing harsh criticism from viewers and raising concerns about safety.
In the video, Ginoski jumps onto the engine of a stationary plane and begins doing push-ups near the spinning propellers. He later described the stunt as “totally safe.” However, many social media users have condemned his actions, citing safety risks and reckless behavior.
One commenter remarked, “This is where natural selection comes into play. So I guess he survived?”
Despite the negative reactions, Ginoski defended his actions, explaining that he simply wanted to make people laugh. “I just wanted people to get a laugh about it. Like it’s [as if] I’ve just got off the plane and I’m going to work out,” he said.
However, airport officials were less amused. Sydney Airport quickly condemned the stunt, emphasizing its “zero-tolerance policy” for unsafe behavior on the airfield. The incident has sparked a heated online debate, with many questioning Ginoski’s judgment. One user pointed out, “No matter how strong you are physically, you still need brain.”
Ginoski attempted to clarify that the plane was parked and stationary during the stunt. He further explained that it is common for flight attendants and pilots to be near the engines. Despite his attempts to justify the action, the video has continued to fuel concerns about the risks of reckless behavior and the importance of adhering to safety protocols.
