LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – A new fitness program aimed at older residents has opened to the community.

The “SAIL” Program held a fitness class at the Patterson Center on April 7. The class focused on exercises designed to improve strength, balance, and overall fitness.

The program’s goal is to help participants stay active and reduce the risk of falls. One attendee, Amy Watkins, shared why the class is important.

“It’s centrally located, easy to access, and can be adjusted to different fitness levels,” Watkins said. “This class can increase strength and prevent falls, and anyone can join.”

The next class will be held at 11 a.m. on April 9 at the Patterson Center. Organizers encourage everyone to come and learn how to improve their health.
