During a live social media session on Tuesday, Lizzo addressed the rumors surrounding her weight loss, specifically denying claims that she used Ozempic to achieve her goal of reducing her body fat to 16%. Instead, the singer shared the healthy lifestyle changes that have helped her achieve a more toned physique.

Lizzo explained that she now avoids sugary foods in the mornings, opting for something savory instead. “I do something sweet, but it has to include carbs. I’ll have almond butter and toast,” she said. “Everyone’s body is different, so find what works for you.”

Additionally, Lizzo revealed that she has cut down on Starbucks drinks, going from consuming two or three large drinks to cutting out coffee entirely.

While Lizzo does not believe in calorie counting, she mentioned that she had to adopt a calorie deficit to avoid overeating. She described it as a strategy to combat unhealthy eating habits in the American food system.

The singer also spoke about managing her anxiety, saying, “I’ve been working on getting my anxiety under control for years. Then I decided I wanted to release and be fully myself, to be happy. I meditated and calmed myself down.”

Lizzo emphasized the importance of mindful isolation, explaining, “I isolated myself, but not in a way that made me feel lonely, not like when I was depressed. I did it in a mindful way, without distractions.”
