Janelle Rohner Uses Microdoses of GLP-1 for Weight Loss

Health and wellness influencer Janelle Rohner, 37, has shared with her followers that she has been using a GLP-1 medication to help with weight loss. In a YouTube video posted on Wednesday, April 23, Rohner opened up about her decision to microdose the medication, saying that she felt it was important to be transparent with her audience.

“This isn’t easy to say, but I owe it to you to be honest. I’m microdosing a GLP-1,” Rohner wrote in the video description. “I’ve quietly been working on my mental health, trying to find peace in the chaos. I know sharing this might open me up to judgment, but hiding it would mean losing the most important thing: my truth.”

She added, “I’m not perfect, but I’m healing, and I hope that means something to someone out there who’s struggling too.”

GLP-1 medications, like Ozempic and Wegovy, are typically prescribed to help manage weight-related conditions, including type 2 diabetes. While these drugs have gained attention for their use in weight loss, many doctors caution against using them solely for this purpose. The trend of celebrities using GLP-1 drugs for weight loss has sparked debate within the medical community.

In the video, Rohner explained why she decided to try the controversial weight loss medication. “If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I’ve tried it all—from keto, macro diets, workouts, and lifestyle changes,” she said. “Over the last year, I’ve made new health choices, and I started working with a doctor. We decided to add a GLP-1 to my plan. These medications aren’t magic, and they don’t change your life overnight. They’re just a tool to help. I still had to put in the work.”

Rohner emphasized that she didn’t rely solely on the medication. She combined it with regular exercise, meal tracking, and staying hydrated. “Taking a GLP-1 helped me regain a sense of control, and I don’t think I should be ashamed of that. If there’s a tool out there that can help with your mental and physical health, you deserve to explore it without guilt,” she said.

Initially, Rohner used full doses of the medication, which helped her lose the “stubborn 10 to 15 pounds” that had been difficult to shed. She then switched to microdosing once a month for maintenance. “I was happy with the results,” she added. “I also started seeing a therapist regularly, which was a game changer for me.”

Despite her positive results, Rohner has faced criticism on social media for her use of GLP-1 medication. She addressed the backlash in her video, expressing gratitude for the support from her community but acknowledging the criticism she’s received. “I never imagined I’d be under a microscope,” she said. “I’ve gotten comments, questions, and judgments about everything I do.”

Rohner concluded by reminding her viewers, “I’m not perfect, and I never claimed to be.”
