“Hacks” Star Calls Out Ozempic Users Who Deny Using the Weight-Loss Drug

Megan Stalter has shared her thoughts on the growing trend of Ozempic use in Hollywood, particularly regarding people who allegedly lie about using the weight-loss drug.

In a recent appearance on the podcast “Grindr Presents: Who’s The A–hole? with Katya,” Stalter, who plays Kayla on the Max drama Hacks, discussed the impact of Ozempic in the entertainment industry. When asked by host Katya Zamolodchikova about individuals who deny using the medication, Stalter responded candidly.

“Let’s just say the trips to the bathroom would say otherwise,” Stalter remarked. “We know if you’re on it because you’re s—-ing your pants. How is that hotter than being fat? That is insane to me. That is crazy.”

The 34-year-old actress further expressed that despite the pressures in Hollywood, she has no desire to try the drug. “I would rather be 500 pounds than s—-ing all day,” she added. “That’s so gross, unless you have a sickness you’re born with. But if you’re taking a drug on purpose to s— your brains out just to lose 10 pounds, honey, we liked you a little chubbier.”

Ozempic, a semaglutide injection, was initially approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat Type 2 diabetes. However, it has gained popularity for off-label weight loss use, along with several similar medications. Earlier this year, comedian Amy Schumer shared her own experience with the drug.

Schumer explained during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show that her reaction to Ozempic was severe. “I tried Ozempic almost three years ago and I was bedridden, vomiting, and had no energy,” Schumer said. “I lost 30 pounds quickly, but I couldn’t lift my head off the pillow, so what’s the point?”

James Corden also discussed his experience with Ozempic during an episode of his This Life of Mine podcast. “I tried it for a bit, and then I realized it wasn’t really about being hungry. It just made you feel not hungry,” Corden said. He added, “I’m the kind of person who eats a king-size Cadbury Dairy Milk in a carwash, not because I’m hungry, but for other reasons.”
