Planet Fitness will open a new fitness center in Lakewood on March 31. The new location will be at 5919 Lakewood Towne Center Blvd. SW., Suite K, in the space previously occupied by 24 Hour Fitness, as stated in a company press release.
The new center adds to Planet Fitness’s existing locations in Tacoma, Puyallup, and Federal Way. It will have varied operating hours: Monday from 5 a.m. to midnight, 24 hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, Friday from midnight to 9 p.m., and weekends from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The new fitness center will feature 90 pieces of strength equipment, 62 pieces of cardio equipment, free fitness training, dedicated training areas, and a spa area for Black Card members. The center will also offer TVs for entertainment, according to the release.
