Ballston’s Fitness Scene Expands with New Gym Plans and Onelife Fitness Growth

by Lana Green

Ballston’s fitness scene is rapidly expanding.

Onelife Fitness, located in Ballston Quarter, is set to renovate and expand into a vacant space nearby. Meanwhile, Performance 360, a new fitness center, is preparing to open in the former location of Hunan Gate, which closed in December.

Onelife Fitness Expands

Onelife Fitness, currently situated on the third floor of Ballston Quarter, plans to expand into an empty retail space on the second floor. A permit application filed earlier this month details plans for the renovation, which will include the installation of a new set of stairs, updated flooring, new paint, mirrors, and various utility upgrades.

While Onelife declined to provide specific details, they confirmed to ARLnow that they are “always exploring ways to enhance our clubs and deliver the best possible experience for our members.”

Performance 360 Opening Soon

In addition, Performance 360, a fitness studio offering group strength training classes, is set to open its first East Coast location at 4233 Fairfax Drive in Ballston. The new studio is part of a West Coast-based gym franchise, and the opening is scheduled for April 21.

Those interested in joining Performance 360 can sign up for the waitlist for “VIP” founding memberships, which are nearly sold out.
