MUSKEGON, MI – A new CrossFit-style gym, Rebels Health & Fitness, is set to open in late May at Adelaide Pointe, located at 1204 W. Western Ave. near the marina on Muskegon Lake.
The 4,300-square-foot facility will offer a variety of fitness services, including functional fitness group classes, nutrition coaching, and personal training.
Chad Fairfield, the founder and head coach, has been involved in CrossFit since 2017 and is eager to bring his passion for fitness to Muskegon. “I realized how efficient this program is and how easy it is to get people involved and transform their lives,” he said.
While the journey to launch the business has had its challenges, Fairfield remains optimistic. Just before signing the lease, a windstorm caused part of the building’s roof to be torn off. However, Adelaide Pointe acted quickly to replace it, and Fairfield praised their support. “They’ve been great helping me through everything,” he said, adding that, unlike a restaurant business, opening a fitness center takes time to build momentum.
Fairfield, who has spent five years honing his knowledge of both training and the business side of the fitness industry, is ready to make a difference in the community. “The world’s a tough place right now, so I’m just here to change lives and help people in any way that I can,” he explained.
Those interested in signing up for classes or learning more about the gym can reach Fairfield at (616) 843-5357 or contact Rebels Health & Fitness via Facebook or Instagram.
Adelaide Pointe also offers other amenities, including Muskegon Brewing Company, Adelaide Events, a rentable event center, a 169-slip wet marina, a retail store, and boat fueling stations. Construction is underway for a 55-unit condo development.
